AMBuilder is a build preparation software suited for the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) process. It is compatible with any of the LPBF Metal 3D Printers in the market. Designed with powerful algorithms, it generates an ideal build orientation based on user-specified criteria of Support angle, Support area, Support volume, and Build Height. The easy-to-use interface allows control of the orientation process with sliders and visual graphs.
LPBF process is a rapid heating and cooling process, the printed part undergoes a change in volume while cooled down. This shrinkage results in a deviation in the dimensions of the printed part from the original geometry AMBuilder’s computes the distortion before the printing process and can correct the deformation by applying a pre-deformation in the opposite direction. It also has integrated algorithms that also calculate the heat and mechanical displacement of the part. The Distortion Analysis Module reduces the part failure probability making it a more reliable production system for complex geometry parts.
Designed to create and manipulate supports, ensures proper supports to reduce post-processing time, automatically generates the right type of support for the part once it is oriented and reduces distortion.
AMBuilder Path Generation Module is equipped with a fast and robust Slicer and Path Generator, allowing the user to quickly generate slices and laser paths.
